Research Vision
The Jiang Laboratory seeks to uncover how human brain circuits can be precisely engaged and modulated. Our long-term goal is to establish mechanistic foundations that advance precision neuromodulation for neuropsychiatric and neurodevelopmental disorders.
Experimental Framework
We pursue this vision through an interdisciplinary and translational framework that integrates brain network discovery and individualized circuit targeting, multimodal concurrent brain stimulation–recording, and computational modeling. By bridging mechanistic insights from intracranial stimulation and intracranial electrophysiology (iEEG and single-unit recordings) to scalable noninvasive brain stimulation and whole-brain neuroimaging, our framework provides unique capabilities for causal interrogation of human brain circuits across stimulation modalities, spatial scales, and diverse populations.
